Taking advantage of our human form

"Turning the experience of death, bardo, and rebirth into the path to enlightenment is not a fantasy. Because we have the type of body we do, we can definitely accomplish this great aim.
According to the sutra teachings, our present physical body is viewed largely as hindrance. It is decaying from moment to moment, prone to sickness, and attracts misery in the way a magnet attracts pieces of iron. In fact, the most succinct way of defining the first noble truth of suffering is to say it is the body itself. But the tantric teachings take the opposite view. Far from being a hindrance or obstacle, the human body is regarded as something most precious because it contains all the necessary equipment fro reaching enlightenment in one lifetime.
It is made up of the four elements of earth, water, fire and air and the energies (prana) associated with them. And because it is born from the womb, it contains the red and white drops - from the mother and father respectively - needed for arousing the blissful energy of the kundalini experience."

Dissolving Self-Created Limitations: Dreams and Emptiness

"If we want to understand how we are ordinarily misled by our false projections and how we can begin to break free from their influence, it is helpful to think of the analogy of our dream experiences. When we wake up in the morning, where all the people we were just dreaming about? Where did they come from? And where did they go? Are they real or not? Of course not. These dream people and their dream experiences all arose from our sleeping, dreaming mind; they were mere appearances to that mind. They were real only as long as we remained in the dream-state; to the waking mind of the next morning they are only insubstantial memory. While we were asleep they seemed so true, as if they were really out there, having a concrete existence quite apart from ourselves. But when we wake up we realize that they were only the projections of our dreaming mind. Despite how real they seemed, these people in fact lack even an atom of self-existence. Completely empty of any objective existence whatsoever, they were only the hallucination of our dream experience."

REMcloud is a Facebook-like social networking site that lets you upload your dreams to the cloud. It syncs with Facebook and Twitter, but you can also find new dream-sharing friends on the site itself.

The most interesting aspect for me is the "dreams trending" cloud, where you can see world-wide dream trends for symbols and events. This may be the closest the Internet has come yet to the "Collective Unconscious," although right now the fastest group to adapt the REMcloud is the 12-17 set, including all their dream tweets about celebrities and Harry Potter.

"Prior to realization, the individual's true nature is obscured by the root ignorance that gives rise to the conceptual mind. Ensnared in dualistic vision, the conceptual mind divides the seamless unity of experience into conceptual entities and then relates to these mental projections as if they inherently exist as separate beings and things.
The primary dualism divides experience into self and other, and from the identification with only one aspect of experience, the self, preferences develop. This results in the arising of aversion and desire, which become the basis for both physical and mental actions. These actions (karmas) leave traces in the individual's mind as conditioned tendencies, resulting in more grasping and aversion, which lead to new karmic traces, and so on. This is the self-perpetuating cycly of karma."
